Open Access model

Scope

This policy defines the journal’s temporary open access model for Issue 2025, outlining its conditions, duration, exceptions, licensing, and preservation procedures.

Open Access Regime

The journal applies a temporary open access model exclusively to Issue 2025.
Each article published online remains freely accessible for twelve (12) months from its individual publication date (rolling window).
After this period, full-text access will be closed, while the DOI, metadata, and article landing page remain permanently public and indexed to ensure citation continuity.

Previous Issues

All issues published up to 2024 remain closed.
Their contents are digitally preserved, with active DOIs and publicly visible metadata, guaranteeing long-term visibility and scholarly traceability.

Licensing and Rights

During the open-access window, articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), unless otherwise stated on the article page.
After the 12-month access period, the same license continues to apply for citation and copyright purposes, but public download of the full text is disabled.

Permanent Open Exceptions

At the discretion of the Editorial Board, the following materials may remain permanently open:

  • Editorials, announcements, and communiqués;

  • Errata, retractions, and expressions of concern;

  • Editorial policies, author guidelines, and ethics statements;

  • Supplementary datasets hosted in trusted open repositories.

Preservation, Indexing, and Record Integrity

All published articles are assigned a DOI and maintained with public metadata.
The journal ensures digital preservation, safeguarding continuous access to bibliographic records even after full-text closure.
Indexing and discovery services may continue to display abstracts, citations, and metadata automatically harvested from the journal’s repository.

Access Requests

In exceptional cases — such as funder-mandated open access, academic or institutional audits, or requests justified by public interest — temporary access may be authorized following a formal request to the editorial office.

Transparency and Policy Review

This policy is effective upon publication on the journal’s website and will be periodically reviewed to ensure ongoing compliance with open science principles, editorial sustainability, and repository interoperability standards.
